Steve Jobs

Steve.jpg

Jobs It is with shortness of breath and some trepidation that I finish Steve Jobs, by Walter Isaacson. Certainly the work is a sweeping and thorough exploration of the man that is (rightfully) now placed on the short list of great innovators, who belongs in the same sentence as Henry Ford and Walt Disney. No matter what your inclination or opinion, it is without hyperbole that... Read More

iPad Encourages Crime!

Apple Break In

The iPad was just released in Norway three days ago. Apparently, the demand was so high, thieves in Norway stole a BMW (nothing but the best for these thieves!), then crashed it into an Apple Authorized Reseller. Once inside, they made of with unnamed boxes of merchandise, but TUAW believes there were plenty of iPads in the haul. Did you like this? Share it:Tweet Read More

Uh-Oh: WP7 Developers Fearing Platform Flop-Aren’t Getting Paid

WP7

Appleinsider has discovered that many Windows Phone 7 developers are becoming increasingly concerned that the new WP7 mobile OS has flopped. In fact, developers are not getting paid by Microsoft for their apps that have sold on the WP7 app store, and that MS isn’t even providing analytics to the developers, so they have no idea how many times their apps have been purchased/downloaded.... Read More

As a member of the Developer Program, I’ve been using iOS 4.1, then 4.2, then 4.2.1, for some time now. I love it. Now it’s finally released to the general public, so go get it via iTunes Update or direct download here when Apple  makes it available. Did you like this? Share it:Tweet Read More

White iPhone 4

White iPhone 4

With all the hubub these days with the white iPhone (or lack thereof), and the pressure the kid from New York is getting from Apple for importing white iPhone parts, I thought I’d post a pic of the white iPhone conversion I did of Mrs. T-S’s iPhone 4. Here it’s sporting the pink bumper. It took about 3 hours (and lots of guts!) to complete the conversion, but... Read More

Beatles! Wait-what?!

the_beatles3

Big announcement from Apple today. Huge. Cloud media storage? iTunes library streaming? Nope. The Beatles. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the Beatles as much as the  next guy-probably more. But let’s face it-the rumor mill ran wild here (as it always does), and we were expecting something a little more…big. Realistically, though-no media event, no Steve Jobs... Read More
