Macworld is reporting that F-Secure has discovered a variant of the Flashback trojan that can infect Macs running Java, even without entering a password authorizing an “update”. Macworld reports that this malware exploits a known Java vulnerability that hasn’t been patched on the Mac platform yet, but was patched in Java for Windows back in February.
